Conceived c 1992 This is Take 3 Mix 5 recorded November 2009 Sonar 6; c1993-2006 ADAT; c1990-91 Fostex R-8; and March 1989 Yamaha MT-100
Bludgeoning HMKS one more time for all its worth....
(maybe MORE than its worth or necessary !)
......as I take the individual tracks from the Original 4 Track Cassette master of the second set of Overdubs for take 1.....
...and transfer them to ADAT forwards AND BACKWARDS (Tx 1-4,and 5-8 respectively!!)......
.....and then mix it all down thru an FX chain of massive bombastic Stereo Reverb, Delay, Flange, Resonator, and Tremolo!!!
There's a fine line between....
.....Redundant..
.....and RETCHINGLY RUNNING IT INTO THE GROUND!!
INEXPLICABLY & TOTALLY by pure random unexplainable chance, I actually got the same points in both the Forwards & Backwards tracks to overlap each other(!)....
.......within a fraction of a second of each other!!
(Listen towards the end of the middle segment, just before the first fade out begins!)
And I bookend all this sonic collage with reversed/non-reversed snippets, front & back of various Overdubs from earlier takes of HMKS, ending up with the Way it all started back in '89:
the original initial Korg Drum Machine sequence & the Electric Rhythm Guitar of Take 1, going from Mono to a reverb & flange drenched L/R spread on the fade-out!
And stay tuned afterwards for about 30 seconds of silence, before a sudden final message from "Colonel Kilgore"..... :D
