A SoundClick #1!! Second of 2 acoustic variations of my song "Heavee Meddle Karma Sutra" done in a Latin slow-Merengue Lite Pop style.
Conceived c1994 This is Take 6 Mix 16 Recorded September 2009 Sonar 6
Sitting around one day with my down-tuned acoustic (D G C F A D), and going thru the various preset patterns on my Drum Machine, I latched on to the opening rhythm & tempo, and got into a vamp going on a D7 chord (the 'Born On the Bayou' 7th chord), and before I knew what hit me, I was onto that familiar b6 b3 b7 1 chord progression, and Lo & behold, I had soon transformed HMKS yet again, this time into a 'Kokomo' clone! (YIKES!!!) :-o
So why do I set it against a Keyboard arrangement & sound that resembles an escapee from the Lawrence Welk show??
("turn on those champagne bubbles an a one, an a two.....") Nothing like musical opposites eh Wilbur??
Actually, the ryth.strums on these ARGs here, especially going over the D7 chord, reminds me more of "Stuck In The Middle With You!"
You know, its actually kind of SCARY when ya start doing THIS kind of music!
