Second Movement of "Guitar Symphony" ,somewhat but not QUITE like the First, done in a minor key
Conceived June-Sept 2004 This is Take 4 Mix 15 recorded February/March 2011, Sonar Producer 8.5
Second movement of my "Guitar Symphony", conceived nearly 20 years after the first one .
Came from playing around with a chord sequence in the Key of F#m over a period of several months. The first take I did on my old ADAT, I overdubbed a ABSOLUTELY hellacious AMOUNT of Rhythm Guitars, Electric & Acoustic (Think I had a total of about TWENTY!)
Since then, we've pared it down to the basics : 1 clean vibrato-ed Electric, 1 acoustic! MUCH simpler!
Several half time feel shifts, in addition to recurring "5 against 4" time sig changes, & during the "chorus" riff, a quite angular harmony lead guitar riff (which kinda almost sounds like the guitar riff from "Sweet Child O' Mine") that plays off nicely to the main lead!
A nice outro,with a steadily decreasing tempo, & modulation in keys between F#m & C major, & ending in major Key F#.
